Our research and development team have been working for 5 years to refine the cultivation and extraction processes involved in the manufacture of plant-derived molecules. With flexible high-tech cultivation blocks and the latest extraction and analytical testing equipment, our team of experts have the capability to carry out a range of trials, testing and data analysis to assess purity and potency of plant molecules at all stages of the development process.

 

This is a new role to the business and will cover the production of plant extracts using techniques such as supercritical CO2 extraction, distillation and purification.

Job Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Plan production of plant extracts to maximise efficiency of the key equipment
  • To be part of the production team operating the key equipment and to train production operatives
  • To ensure that raw material and reagent stocks are maintained so that production is not impeded
  • To liaise with the analytical team to ensure product quality is maintained
  • To present results orally and as written reports
  • Any other duties may be determined from time to time by the Manager or

may change with the requirements of the business.

 

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

Essential.

  • Keen interest in chemistry or biochemistry and a drive to learn new process techniques.
  • Science degree in a relevant subject
  • Experience of production or process management
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Keen eye for detail.
  • Good time management skills to complete tasks within designated timeframes.
  • Good levels of spoken and written English; to enable effective communication and interaction with the management team

Desirable.

  • Experience in food, cosmetics or pharmaceutical ingredient manufacture
  • Extraction using CO2 and distillation would be helpful, but full training will be given
  • Driving licence preferred to enable independent travel to and from work and between sites in Spalding
